So far, so good... (The Wizard of Oz Musical)

As part of Zeke's school field trip, the participants were to watch Repertory Philippines' The Wizard of Oz at Onstage Greenbelt 1.

It was such an entertaining play for both adults and children. I love how the actors engaged the audience by letting  everyone participate through questions and answers. The children just love how everything was so colorful, and beautifully designed and staged.

Among the crowd favorite was the Cowardly Lion. He was really funny and cute. I think the kids thought he's one big stuffed toy. The children laughed and gasped as Dorothy, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow were chased by the Wicked Witch of the West and her winged monkeys.

Hats off to Pinky Marquez's performance as the Wicked Witch of the West. She just stood out as a great actress and singer. With her on stage, everyone just pales in comparison.

The play will run until December 16, 2012. I highly recommend this play. Not only will you get to experience how it is to watch a play (for first-timers) but also get to enjoy the wonderful performance of the casts.

I was glad Zeke got to experience his first play with Repertory Philippines' The Wizard of Oz.

So far, so good but where do we go from here?
There are many roads to travel I fear
So far, so good, we'll follow the road because
Because we're on our way to see the Wizard of Oz
