The dark and light

The struggle of dark and light 

What an overwhelming sight

It echoes what's within

The battles I'm trying to win

The light shining just yonder

How can it reach me, I wonder

But these grey clouds they cover

These depressing, bleak thoughts, I shudder

And I still long for that light

I kept holding on and fight

Fight these damning darkness around

Break free of emptiness that surrounds

There is still hope beyond there

I get a glimpse, even if it's rare

For I know this isn't where I should be
